One of my most popular posts over at my other blog are these Snowman S’Mores! They would make a great treat to hand-out at Christmas parties or as a small (and frugal) gift! Besides, they’re just cute! 🙂
I don’t know about you, but right now we are going through an insane HOT spell! We’re going a little crazy, because you just can’t hardly play outside — especially in the afternoon. We’ve played game after game, read book after book, and put together puzzle after puzzle.
We were ready to try something new.
Enter our “spa” day!
We took the afternoon to soak our feet, listen to some relaxing music, and sip our hot tea (and pretend it was winter). Then we had a basket of goodies from a friend we used to pamper ourselves!
It was a nice break from the *everydayness* of our lives lately! It didn’t cost anything and made a great memory (especially when I spilled nail polish on the floor — thank goodness for laminate flooring)!
How are you beating the heat?!!
My friend, Stacia, sent me this Super Slip-and-Slide from The Inspired Housewife…and it’s awesome!! I would love to try this out — especially on these ridiculously hot days we’ve been having. I just have to figure out where I can buy Visqueen…
The 4th of July is quickly approaching! (Where is my summer going?!!)
Here are a few fun and frugal ideas for kids…
This torn-paper flag is an easy craft for little hands!
We made these 4th of July Juice Pops last summer — and they are yummy! They do take some time, because you have to freeze each layer individually!
Recycle a plastic bag into a windsock! It’s simple and frugal (as long as you aren’t squeamish about permanent markers and kids)!!
