Ever Wanted to Try Online Homeschool Classes? CurrClick Has You Covered!

Online Homeschool Classes at Currclick.com

Lately, I’ve been pondering a few new options for our homeschool.  I love the freedom and flexibility of what we are doing, but I also think it’s important for my girls to learn to interact in various environments.  Since I often post freebies from CurrClick (like this free Lego Club), I was intrigued by the idea of online homeschool classes.

I know there are many complete virtual options, but I’m not really interested in having the girls on the computer for most of the day.  CurrClick gives you the opportunity to take a class and make it work for your schedule.  It’s not a full online curriculum–you get to pick and choose according to your interests.

Getting Started with Online Homeschool Classes

live classes

When I first browsed the online homeschool classes, I was so surprised!  There are hybrid classes, night classes, semester-long classes, free clubs, private tutoring, shorter classes, and even classes for parents.  I love the options for math, science, art, foreign languages, and even lapbooking!

Sign-up was easy–just add the class to your cart and check-out.   We picked out a Wonders of Creation Lapbooking class that all three of the girls thought would be interesting.

Honestly, I did get a little confused after I received the product.  I couldn’t seem to figure out how to get to the class, but once I explored a little bit I figured it out pretty easily!

Here’s how to find your classes:

  • Log-in to your account.
  • Click on “Account” in the top right-hand corner.
  • Click on “View My Classes and Clubs.”
  • Click “Enter Course as…” to find materials and recordings.
  • You’ll also find the link to enter the Adobe Connect platform when you are viewing the class live.

I received a few emails when the class was ready to begin, but it didn’t happen before every single session.  I would recommend writing the schedule in your planner so you don’t forget!

My Favorite Benefits of Online Homeschool Classes:

Being part of a live class is fun and motivating:  We loved the teacher, and my oldest daughter would try to type in and take part during the live chat (it was a little difficult since she is still fairly young with limited typing skills)!  It was definitely a new dynamic to have an online teacher and online “classmates”.

It’s flexible: We ended up having a few schedules conflicts I didn’t foresee when I signed up for the class.  The great thing is that when you purchase a class, you also have access to the recordings of it.  You can easily watch it at a later time–although I did think it was more fun to do it live so your child can take part in the chat!

The classes are high-quality and easy to figure out:  The experience was excellent for my oldest daughter–and she loved making the Wonders of Creation lapbook!  Once you are familiar with how the whole process works, it’s quite simple to use.  I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but it turned out to be much easier and more interactive than I thought.  It was also nice to receive supplemental, hands-on materials for the class, too.

The classes are varied and affordable:  CurrClick really does have a nice selection of classes (from language to math to art and more).  You’ll find several free options and inexpensive classes, too.

If you need an online option or just feel like trying something new, I can highly recommend CurrClick.  They make it simple and easy to get started with online homeschool classes!

Disclosure:  I received a free class from Currclick and was compensated for the time invested in reviewing the product.  All thoughts and opinions are my own, and I was not required to provide a positive review.  We enjoyed our experience with the classes and think they are a great option!
