Because my husband is a veterinarian and often works with injured animals (he’s a super-compassionate guy!), we deal with many kinds of stains. Blood, in particular, is sometimes tricky to get out, but with a pre-treater like Resolve, I haven’t ruined too many shirts or pants!
My general way of getting blood stains out of clothing is this:
1) Spray with Resolve.
2) Wait five minutes.
3) Launder in cold water.
4) If the stain isn’t removed, I spray it again, wait five minutes, and then soak it in cold water for a few hours!
Above I share a quick video of how I get blood stains out of clothing. You can share your tip for getting rid of stains on the Resolve Tip Exchange.
Disclosure: This is a sponsored video for Resolve that I have been compensated for & received free product for through Burst Media. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and this is actually how I get blood stains out of our clothing!

I HATE stains.. thanks for the great tips!

You would really hate some of the stains I find…you don’t even want to know. Animal surgery is messy. :O

Peroxide will get out even dried-in blood, and it costs 88¢ a bottle. Environmentally safe and doesn’t trigger asthma!
Stacie Nelson says
Thanks, Angelika! I’ll have to try that!

Peroxide takes blood stains completely out, just pour on stain and watch bubble up. When done bubbling pour on more until stain is gone, rinse with cold water. Done. It’s a lot cheaper than resolve and doesn’t mess with the color of your clothes.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip. I like to use natural things when I can, but I haven’t had the best of luck with various other “natural” things I’ve tried. Not sure if it’s the animal blood and other liquids or if I was doing something wrong!
