One very unpleasant happening on our vacation (I’ll tell you more about our crazy time in an upcoming post), is that Facebook decided www.motherhoodonadime.com was an abusive or spammy site.
I am now blocked from posting links to my own website on my own Facebook page! I’m not exactly sure why — possibly someone marked my posts as spam. I’ve also read that sometimes whatever filters they use to find spam will flag you if you make an excessive number of posts in a short time. Because we were on vacation, I did try to get all my posts up rather quickly — but there would’ve been maybe 6-8 in a short time span, so I don’t think that is too excessive!!
Anyway, I have tried to share with Facebook numerous times why I am not a spammer, but my explanations seem to be falling on deaf ears. Unfortunately, Facebook has the upper-hand in these types of matters — and they can ignore you and block you for as long as they choose.
So, I am asking for your help!! Begging, really! I know several of you have already done this (and I am so grateful for you!), but if a few more of my Facebook friends could share with them why I am not a spammer, maybe it would get this block lifted!
Here’s how:
It’s pretty easy — although it will take a minute or two of your time. If you’d like to help, all you have to do is go to your Facebook profile. Click the link button at the top of your feed and type in www.motherhoodonadime.com. Attach it and then try to share it. You will get a message like the one above (“This message contains blocked content that has previously been flagged as abusive or spammy. Let us know if you think this is an error.”).
Click the “Let us know” and it will bring up a screen like this one:
You can type in that you were blocked from adding “Motherhood on a Dime” at www.motherhoodonadime.com. Then, you can share a short reason why you don’t think I’m abusive or spammy. Fill out the captcha — and then submit! Finished!!
