I didn’t post any goals last week. The reason….I just needed a break from goals!! With several illnesses plaguing our household, a couple of unexpected situations, and an overall tiredness surrounding the family, I knew I needed to focus on being — and not so much doing!
I feel much more energized, so I’m jumping in this week!
Two-weeks-ago goals:
Mothering/Discipleship/School:
Read Strong-Willed Child or Dreamer. (I’m really excited about this! It came in the mail from Paperback Swap, so I’m starting it right away)
Spend more time reading aloud this week to each girl (20-30 minutes each per day).
Make some “snow day” memories (I’m planning several activities since we FINALLY have snow!)You can see all of our snow activities in the sidebar over in the Kids section!
Homemaking, Ministry & Personal:
Week 2 training for 1/2 marathon.
Read Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover.
Date night!
Compile stuff for taxes.Blogging/Work:
Finish writing a guest post for another blog.(This one is crossed off because it’s a failure…and I’m abandoning it for now.)
Reformat posts in the Kids section. (I got a few finished, but there are several 100s more to go!)
Make a “blog tour” video.This week’s goals:
Mothering/Discipleship/School:
Celebrate Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday!
Finish reading Gladys Alyward and preview the Torchlighter DVD to see if it’s age-appropriate for the girls.
Begin Anne of Windy Poplars (we adore these books)!
Begin planning my youngest daughter’s 4th birthday party! She wants a “mail” cake, so if you have any ideas — let me know!
Homemaking, Ministry & Personal:
Week 4 Training for 1/2 marathon (14 miles total).
Begin using My Fitness Pal again (still hasn’t become a habit).
Have everything in order and meet with accountant.
Finish The Help (This has been an interesting read. I haven’t been able to put it down)! Begin The Radical Cross by Tozer.Blogging/Work:
Meet with other bloggers for a “Blogging Accountability Group”
Make a “blog tour” video.
How is everything going with you? Do you have any goals to share?
ooh….a blogging accountability group…that sounds like a great plan! 🙂
It’s really nice! I love those ladies!
We have several of the TL dvds and our kids love them! Sometimes they can be scary/tense, but for my particular kids (ages 4-8), it is okay. But, my kids also watch Narnia movies, so they are used to scarier stuff. I love how impacted my kids have been by the William Tyndale and Jim Elliot ones, especially. They root for Tyndale as he translates the Bible and can’t get over how crazy it seems that people thought it was a bad idea! 🙂 I tell them that every generation has its blind spots!
