I would be remiss in my mission here at Motherhood on a Dime if I throw lots of bargains at you — and never hit on ways to balance it all! I love to share bargains, but I also like to share a little bit of what I’ve learned through the past few years of motherhood….and the, ummm, past 30ish years of life!
Not that I have it all together. If I’ve learned one major thing from becoming a mom — it’s that I don’t have anything together (and I mean ANY. THING.) — and having it all together is not even possible — and if you ever even think I have it all together, just come spend a morning at my house — then, you’ll know!! 🙂 (I’m so, so thankful for God’s GRACE…and I mean that with my whole heart!)
As women, and especially mothers, it is challenging to make time for our needs. But (as I found out during my battle with postpartum depression), it is essential. One of the first areas I push aside when I feel overwhelmed and stressed is physical activity — yep, good old-fashioned exercise!
Are you with me?!! I have to have goals and accountability to keep me exercising…otherwise, I will race around taking care of the kids and never make time to get my heart rate up! So, this is what I’d like to do: I’d like to introduce a 30-Day Fitness Challenge.
I challenge YOU to exercise 4-5 times a week over the next 30 days. It doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming – go on a walk, pop in an exercise DVD, jump rope — just do something for at least 15 minutes! The goal is to get moving! Make a note of what you did on your calendar, because I’m going to check up on you!! You can check up on me, too!
Leave me a comment to let me know you’re taking my challenge! I’ll email you weekly to check on your progress. And I just might have a little something to give away to one of you at the end of this challenge!
I’m hesitating to do this, since after just two weeks, I probably don’t quite have the readership for it! But, I need to get myself motivated — and I’m hoping at least a few people will join me! Will you consider signing up?
