It’s halfway through the month..and I’m completely bombing the 30 Day Fitness Challenge! I’ve been so focused on clearing out the clutter, I’ve let exercising fall by the wayside.
But it stops now.
On Sunday, I was able to spend some sweet time with my friend Crystal — and she let me borrow P90X to see if I wanted to invest in it myself.
Bring it.
After my first day (yesterday), I quickly realized this was going to be intense (although Tony Horton’s constant use of the phrase “Bring it” and “Boys and Girls” did make me chuckle)! The first workout was an hour long with a 16 minute ab section on top of that!! I’ll be following the classic schedule, but I don’t plan to follow the nutrition plan strictly. I can already see I would get very grumpy if I followed phase 1 eating!
Anyway, I’ve been needing something different for a while. I’ve noticed my progress is slowed, and I’ve seemed to hit a plateau. This should be intense enough to see some real differences!
I won’t be posting my progress weekly, but I will plan to share at least twice a month! In 90 days, expect to see a stronger, leaner me! 😉
Have you done P90X? Do you have any words of wisdom?!!
I haven’t done P90X but I was considering purchasing it. I’m always interested to see how others do on it though because it looks like a rigid workout that will work!!
I’ve just started to get back into my running grove, so maybe we will consider the purchase this fall. I’ve heard they are coming out with a new version so it might be ready then.
Good luck!!
I’m hoping to run another 1/2 marathon this fall, so I thought maybe it would force me to shape up!! It is pretty intense…last night I was so worn out, I went to bed early. Usually I’m a night owl!!
Do you run quite a bit? I just picked it up about a year-and-a-half ago. It’s great stress relief — except when I wind up injured!!
Make sure you’re taking a quality multi-vitamin to help sustain you! I love AdvoCare’s products, and their Spark energy drink helps me survive exhausting days. Right now I’m revamping my revamped diet to make sure I’m eating enough carbs before intense workouts to help keep me fueled!

P90X terrifies me! I’m hoping to start doing The Firm Express soon. I gotta work my way up to p90x 😉
After today, it terrifies me, too! 60 minutes of plyometrics. I’m not sure I’ll be able to walk in the morning!!
