I’ve been hearing about eMeals for a while now, but I never really thought about trying the menu planning service. Because I actually like to make menu plans, I figured I didn’t really need it!
Then, my sister-in-law told me about the new Paleo menu plans they offer AND I was offered a free trial subscription to eMeals through the Allume Conference I attended in the fall. I decided to jump in and give it a try.
The verdict:
I actually really like eMeals. It’s so nice to receive the weekly email with 7-days worth of meals and a printable shopping list. I just print it and slip it right into my home management binder. It comes on my shopping day (Wednesday), so I can take a look at it and plan my meals for the next week. Grocery shopping is easy, because it’s all right there.
Of course, I continue to be a bargain-seeker, so I do substitute meals based on what I find on sale. I can’t say I follow it exactly, but the template is there and I’ve found some new Paleo menu ideas!
I can see how helpful this would be if
a) You don’t like menu planning.
b) You’ve never done menu planning. (Just having a menu will save you the cost of take-out and last minute shopping trips!)
c) You are so busy you can’t seem to find the time to plan your own menu.
eMeals offers several different subscription services, so you are sure to find one that fits your lifestyle:
- Classic
- Clean Eating
- Simple Gourmet
- Paleo
- Low Carb
- Low Fat
- Portion Control
- Natural & Organic
- Gluten Free
- Vegetarian
Right now, you can use the code to newyear to save 15% on a subscription. The best value is a one-year subscription for just $49.30 or $4.11 per month, but you can also just give it a try for 3 or 6 months! You also have the option to add lunches and breakfast menus for an additional charge.
Emeals has also graciously provided a Meal Planning Menu Pack for me to give away! This means you’ll get three months worth of breakfast, lunch, and dinner ideas for whatever eating plan you choose!
