I’m a rather plain girl.
Not really funny. Not really serious. Not particularly brilliant or engaging. Just kind of casual. Simple.
That’s how I do life, and for the most part, I’m okay with that.
I do have a secret yearning, however.
I wish I had at least *a little bit* of style when it comes to home decor and hospitality–especially when it comes to creating a beautiful table and a welcoming home.
My sisters have it, but it seems to have skipped me…

Thankfully, I have a chance to remedy that, and I am absolutely beside myself! I have the opportunity to head to the ALDI test kitchen later this week, and I CAN. NOT. WAIT. I’m excited about all of it, but I am especially looking forward to the sessions we will have with a food stylist and food photographer! Since I just recently launched Faithfully Nourished (and I mean just launched…it barely has anything posted yet), I am trying to learn all I can about taking pretty food pictures. I need help!
In addition to the photography sessions, I’ll also get to take a behind-the-scenes tour at ALDI. I already know a little bit about the awesome savings they provide (you can find our weekly coupon match-ups for ALDI right here), but I get to learn even more about the discounts and specials they will be providing this holiday season.
Beginning Thursday afternoon, I’ll be sharing on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook about what is going on at the ALDI Test Kitchen. I hope you’ll follow along with me!
I’d also WANT to hear any of your questions–questions you might have about food styling/tablescaping for the holidays and taking great food photography. Feel free to leave those questions below, and I’ll be sure to ask and get them answered!
You can find out more about ALDI, follow them on Facebook, or enter a special ALDI Holiday Cookie Contest on Pinterest, too.

Great topic!! I’d be interested to hear ideas for setting up a stylish table when all you have a is a small table (like a square table for four people).

How fun! I’d love to learn more about how to get natural light on a stylish table setting for picture taking purposes! It’s not always practical to move the whole table. I’d like to know how they do that!

What a fun event! Have a great time! I always have trouble with shadows when I’m taking food photos, so I’d love to hear any tips to avoid those.
And I’d love some ideas on how to use what you already have in a totally new way. I’d love to have a versatile set of tableware for entertaining, but have it look completely different for the different holidays (without feeling the need to buy something separate for each.)

Ha! Only every few months! 🙂 I’m on autopilot right now…just trying to survive!
I’m excited about my new blog too–especially if I would ever have time to write on it.
