I know.
I’m SOOOO slow. Slow as molasses. But it is finished! My 30-Day (or 90-Day) Home Management Binder challenge is complete. I’ve been using it for a while, but I’ve just recently added a few more pages — and I wanted to share those with you.
I wanted something that looked really clean and cute — but something that didn’t take a ton of ink to print either (I love some of the cute designs of other planners, but my frugal self believes in rationing printer ink)!! My sister has generously given of her time to design these for us!
I did put together a video tour of my binder. It is slightly embarrassing for me, but I decided to just go ahead and post it (otherwise I would spend hours reshooting to make it look better). I have no video skills, so please forgive me for the poor lighting and fuzzy, humidified hair! It was 85 degrees in the house when I shot the video!! My middle daughter is extremely embarrassed that I posted this! Ah, well….what’s life without some red-faced moments. 😉
If you’re viewing this via email subscription, you can view the video here.
If you’d prefer to walk through the binder without seeing my novice video, I’ve posted a written tour below:
The very first page of the binder is my mission statement. I believe living with purpose and focus is so important. It’s easy to get side-tracked in life! Putting it right on the front of the binder ensures I will see it every day and remember what I want to be about. You can find the customizable cover page here.
I purchased a package of Avery dividers that have pockets in them. I LOVE having the pockets for papers I need to fill-out, items I need to remember, schedules, bills, my checkbook, and more!
I included five sections in my binder:
- Home
- Calendars
- Recipes
- Kids
- Blogging
In my home section, I have my current goal checklist.
I also have an important date list to add birthdays and anniversaries. I just haven’t filled it out yet! (I have included it in the download though!)
I’ve also included the Chore Chart checklist. One way to use it would be to fill out your monthly, quarterly, and annual chores. Slip the sheet into a page protector and mark the date you complete each chore with a washable marker!
In the calendar section, I have a monthly calendar. I’m mainly using this to plan activities for the girls and blogging ideas for myself.
The weekly calendar printable is my favorite part of the binder — and where it is usually turned to during the day. Right behind it, I’ve also inserted the Motivated Mom’s calendar for the week.
The recipe section is still taking shape. I plan to work on this more fully during the summer, because I want to move all of my recipes into a binder. Right now, they are loose in a small book…and it’s not the most efficient organization! This page is simply a sheet to record recipe ideas and where to find them. I plan to use a few copies for our favorite recipes. You could also use it for recipes you want to try.
In each of my binder sections, I’ve included a few page protectors. In the recipe section, I put some recipes I’ve torn out of magazines and want to try. I can also use these ideas when I plan my menus on the weekly calendar.
The kids section includes a schedule. You could either use one sheet for everyone in the family and fill out a Monday-Friday schedule or fill out a daily schedule for each person in the family on one sheet. I did a basic schedule for all of us on one page. This will be revised for summer schedules, but it works for the next month or so.
The last part in my kids section is an idea list. This list could be used for anything: sewing projects, house projects, Pinterest projects, etc. I chose to go through our resources and make a list of activities the girls could do. I slipped it into a page protector, so I can cross off activities we complete with a dry-erase pen. Once the girls have done all of the activities, I can just clean of the page protector and start again!
The last section is my blogging section, but I don’t have any downloads for that section. If you are interested in a few blogging sheets, let me know and I’ll see what I can do!

Stacie says
Hi, Stephanie! If you signed up for the email updates after 3:30 PM CT, you’ll have to wait until the next daily update comes out tomorrow to find them! I know it’s kind of strange, but that’s the best way for me to offer a subscriber exclusive at this point in time! Tomorrow, be looking for the update to come between 3-5 PM CT, and you’ll find it in there! 🙂
Hope that helps! Thanks so much!

I’m a subscriber but when I click the link it comes up blank. I’m not sure if I am doing it wrong or what. Please help. Thank you.
Stacie says
I tried the links and I was able to pull it up. I’m wondering if you might have tried to access it when my site was crashed (it did that a few times sadly)? You might try again and see if you can get it to work! Let me know if you can’t.

Are you putting out the downloads for 2014? I would be very interested in having those! Having 4 boys from 5-18 keeps me super busy!
Stacie Nelson says
They’ll be ready by the end of the month!

It’s so colorful, I love it! Mine is so very plain and simple and I think I can add to it with some of your printouts! I especially like the idea list, it would be a great place to jot down random ideas or even things the kids say that I forget if I don’t write them down 🙂 Thank you for sharing it with us!

I don’t see myself ever doing this; however, I love looking through your stuff and living vicariously. Btw–just the other day I was wishing I had a laminator! Love to your family. xxo

I’ve subscribed to your site and have tried to get the free binder printables. For some reason though, when I click on the link in my e-mail, it just takes me to a blank page. Is there any other way I can get them? Thanks!
Stacie says
Hi, Stacey,
You might try opening the link in a different browser? I have the best luck with Chrome. If that doesn’t work, please email me and I will find a way to get them to you!
Rachel says
I see this note on your blog… I just subscribed and hope the download is still available! Even if it is not, it has great ideas and I love your page. 🙂
This will only be available for free through the month of June (2012). This set is copyright-protected. Please feel free to make copies for yourself, but share this blog post with friends so they can get their own! Thanks so much!
Stacie says
Hi, Rachel!
Yes…I planned to only leave it up for a short while, but it is still available!

I subscribe, and wanted to get the binder printables before they expire, but I don’t see a link on the bottom of my emails. I’ve copied and pasted what I see below.
Perhaps I am missing something? I hate asking dumb questions.
