We did it!!
Last week, we finished P90X.
Ummm…..16 weeks later (it’s a 13 week program), but we finished nonetheless!
So, the results. Maybe you’re wondering? (Maybe you’re not. Maybe you don’t care one bit. But since I actually finished all of those 60 minute+ work-outs, I feel I have to share!!)
There is one negative and one positive.
First the bad news (at least for me): I worked my tail off and didn’t lose any weight.
The good news: I have gotten rid of a little bit of fat, and I definitely have more muscle. Plus, I can heft some serious weight (at least for me)! 😉
Now, my husband and I are contemplating what to do next. Well, really, I am contemplating what to do next. John just wants a break!
I thought I’d throw out a 30 Day 15 Day Challenge for any of you interested in joining along for the month of September. We currently have our 30 Days of Praying for Your Kids challenge going on, but I really like to have goals in all aspects of my life. Health and fitness is one area I think is often neglected when you’re a mom and trying to take care of so many other needs around you. But it’s so important. I can’t tell you what a difference it has made for me in my struggle against depression!
So, I challenge you to pick something…anything active you can do for the next 15 days. I, personally, am going to do the 30-Day Shred along with some jogging (I’m hoping to run a race later this fall – fingers crossed that my back doesn’t fail me).
After you’ve picked something, set a goal. Are you going to walk every single day? Maybe you’re going to swim four times per week. I’m convinced you need to put it in writing and refer to it throughout the month. Pencil it in your calendar. You can also leave a comment below letting me know you’re with me! Encouraging one another can be such a great motivator!
Wow! I’m impressed! We are wanting to do T-Tapp here…have you tried it? From all the testimonials I’ve read people did lose weight…would be interested in hearing your experience and knowing if it worked for you.
