You might remember, I embarked on a 30-Day Fitness (and weight loss) challenge in the middle of May. I had some good moments….and some not-so-good moments, but here’s my final report.
Here’s a look at the goals I set and my progress on them:
1) Lose 5 lb. in the next 30 days.
I did meet this goal! My jeans are fitting again. And my husband even hugged me the other day and complained there was nothing (no love handles) to hang on to! He’s very sweet…but they’re still there. Smaller. But still there. 😉
2) Exercise 5 days a week with Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred.
Here’s how my exercise plan went last week:
- Monday: Shred Level 1
- Tuesday: Shred Level 3
- Wednesday: Off
- Friday: Shred Level 1
- Saturday: Shred Level 1
- Sunday: Shred Level 2
I finally made my goal this week! I wasn’t able to meet this goal every week, but I did get at least 3-5 days of some kind of exercise each week.
3) Implement the Perfect 10 Diet: 10 Key Hormones That Hold the Secret to Losing Weight and Feeling Great Fast
I am supposed to add one to two grains per day now, so I’m doing a natural fiber bar once every two days or so. Other than that, I’m still not really eating any grains. I tried adding some whole grain flour and making a crepe for dinner last week, but it just felt really heavy. I didn’t feel great after eating it, so I’ve decided to still stay off the grains for a few more weeks while I lose a few more pounds. I don’t know. I’m up in the air about it!
Overall, I’m feeling good about finally making some progress. I hope to share a little more about the spiritual aspect of it soon!
Thanks to those of you who have joined me on this journey…and cheered me on…and encouraged me! I plan to continue on and set some new goals for next month, but it won’t be a 30-Day Challenge…unless I find I need the accountability! (Could happen!)

ahhh. John is sweet! yea for him and yea for you! (if i cook for you this summer, you can have the couscous sauce w/out the couscous–that will keep you grain free!) <3
I think it’s mainly wheat that isn’t setting so well. I will definitely have couscous if you’re going to make me the authentic stuff! I can’t ever get mine to taste like that little restaurant where we had it several times!
