Life Rewind:
I’ve been working on decluttering and planning for the upcoming school year, and we’re starting August 19th, so I have one more week to get ready. Summer is winding down quickly, and we tried to hang on to every minute of it last week. We even enjoyed two days at our local pool–until I was reminded why I don’t really like to get in them myself.

We have also been enjoying more than our fair share of rain…and so far, our basement has held up. Thankfully! Unfortunately, one thing that isn’t holding up is our 2003 Buick Rendevous. We just got news on Friday that it needs two things repaired–and it’s not going to be cheap. Again, I’m trying to look on the bright side and remember that’s what our Emergency Fund is for and to be thankful no one got hurt before we found the problems! We are still hoping to put off purchasing a different vehicle until our house is paid off, but we may have to reevaluate. 🙁
The biggest news of my week is that our three little girls are spending quality time with grandma and grandpa–to the tune of 7 days away from home! Honestly, I’m sitting here wondering what in the world I’m going to do with myself. I mean, I have lots I can work on, but it’s just so, so quiet! This will be the longest we’ve been away from them, and it is definitely an odd feeling. I am going to try to enjoy my days, but I bet I’ll be glad when Friday gets here!
