My husband was sharing an article he read the other day about the possible price increase coming to the Amazon Prime program, so if you’ve ever thought about trying it–now might be the best time. Right now, you can get Amazon Prime for $79 per year (this works out to about $6.58 per month), but it looks like it may increase an extra $20 – $40.
I’ve used Amazon Prime for over two years now. Being from a small town, I try to buy as much locally as I can, but there are many items I use that aren’t carried in our stores. It’s been so helpful to have free 2-day shipping with no minimum order size! I feel like between the shipping, the free Prime movies and t.v., and the free book loan each month, I’ve really gotten good use out of it.
I’m also a member of Amazon Mom (which I think every mom who considers Amazon Prime should do–the Subscribe-and-Save benefits of baby and kid stuff is really great)!
If you live in a larger city or have access to most items easily, Amazon Prime may not be as good of a deal for you, but I save a ton of gas money!
Amazon.com Membership – Prime benefits include:
- FREE Kindle eBook loan each month
- FREE 2-day shipping
- Access to thousands of tv shows, movies, documentaries, etc.
