I always like looking through the bestsellers in the Arts, Crafts, & Sewing section at Amazon.  This is a much higher-priced item than I normally share on here, but they have some pretty good deals on sewing machines!

Most of the reviews for this Brother CS6000i Sew Advance Sew Affordable 60-Stitch Computerized Free-Arm Sewing Machine are positive — it looks like a good sewing machine for beginner to intermediate skill levels.  It’s priced at $151.99 (retail $449.00) and shipping is free.  I’m not so sure the retail is actually that high, but I found it in various places for around $160 – $299.

If you’re looking for something a little cheaper, you can find a whole host of sewing machines on this page (some as low as $15 — for a portable, mini sewing machine)!

We bought a sewing machine for Christmas for our daughter last year, but it still makes me nervous…
