I’ve had the Ultra (previous model) for almost 2 years and LOVE it. LOVE. I’m seriously considering upgrading at this price. It’s a great way to easily track your steps and sleep, and a good way to motivate yourself to lose some weight or be more active. Highly recommend!!!
It’s getting lots of good recommendations! Thanks for sharing about it–it is really tempting. Anything to help get me more active!
It is great, but sadly the price is now over $90. 🙁 Guess I waited too long….
I waited too long on this one, too. Thanks for all the good feedback, though! I’ll be able to move faster the next time the price drops.
*Edit: Actually, it looks like the burgundy version is still down at about $84. Not quite as good a deal, but still a pretty significant discount off the regular price!
I love my Fitbit One! I got it a year ago and it’s rarely left my side. It’s a tiny little device that slips into your pocket, or you can wear it using the belt clip (doesn’t slide off). I’ve even occasionally worn it on my bra.
It allows you to track steps of course, but also the number of stairs, mileage, est calories burned, and it even has a clock which I’ve used to help time my walks. It has a little flower indicator that “grows” as your increase your activity during the day.
There is a soft wristband that the Fitbit slides into so you can wear it at night to track your sleeping habits – not just how long you slept, but how many times and for what duration you woke up. The “silent” alarm is a little buzzer that vibrates (so you have to be wearing it). I actually prefer it to my loud beeping alarm clock I used to use – it’s less jarring but somehow wakes me up faster.
As your post says, it syncs automatically with a PC, tablets, etc. Another great thing is you can allow other sites access to your Fitbit data – such as SparkPeople, MapMyRun, etc. so you can combine your stats all into one place.
Wow! Thanks for sharing all the info! I didn’t realize it could do quite so much!
Thank you for sharing! I can definitely see myself being motivated to move more and challenge myself!
