Coupon Myth #1: Coupons are a waste of time
This is a common objection I hear concerning the use of coupons — and I used to believe it myself! Here are a few variations of this objection, but they are all based on the same idea — lack of time!
“It doesn’t seem worth my time to clip coupons.”
~~I typically “make” (keep) $20-$30 an hour clipping coupons. And the taxes are already paid! I consider bargain shopping my part-time job!
~~I spend around 2-3 hours per week clipping coupons, making match-ups with my local ad, and shopping!
~~My grocery bill has decreased by at least 50% (well, depending on who does the shopping! 🙂 )
“I don’t have time to cut coupons.”
~~Do you watch the news? Watch any television? I clip and sort coupons while watching TV!
~~Enlist family help! Your whole family will benefit from saving money, so they can help, too! ( My oldest daughter actually likes to cut coupons. It’s good fine-motor and sorting practice, right?!!)
“I don’t have time to match coupons with sale ads or figure out what is a good price.”
~~You’ve come to the right place! My blog is the perfect starting point for the best deals already found for you! There are many blogs just like mine dedicated to making it easier to find those coupon match-ups. The work is already done for you.
To get started, click on any of the stores listed on the side, and you will find every post I’ve written about that store! Obviously there won’t be too many at this point (since I’ve just begun), but expect it to grow and grow as the weeks go by!!
