I hate endings.
I love to start new things and work on them, but when it gets right down to it, I don’t want to finish what I’ve started. I don’t want to see it end.
I find endings painful.
This weekend, I have one of those painful endings.
The Amazing Mess, the site where I currently post crafts, cooking, and other enrichment projects for kids, will be moved over to this blog. I’ve had many sleepless nights and tears as I’ve tried to figure out how to manage both of them. It has just become too much for me to keep up both blogs on two different blogging platforms (Blogger and WordPress).
So, I finally came up with the idea to combine them. I post just about 2-3 times per week over there, and they are all usually simple and inexpensive craft ideas. Since I share a lot of educational freebies here anyway, I felt like you would be okay with me posting some of my own projects. I hope so anyway!!
There will be three sections to the blog: Living (recipes, organization, 30-Day Challenges, fitness, faith, etc), Deals (coupons, freebies, bargains, etc.), and Kids (crafts, activities, cooking with kids, etc.). You’ll also still be able to access a “blog view” if you’d rather not navigate between sections. I’ll be sure to post a video after we get everything done. I think you’ll find it pretty easy to figure out once the changes are made! If you subscribe via email or RSS, you won’t really see any changes (except for 2-3 extra posts per week with simple craft ideas for kids)!
This weekend, we’ll be moving everything and making sure it all works and looks good (I have been working with Joy from Five J’s Design, and I can’t wait for you to see it!!). Please don’t get frustrated, as you may only be able to access the site intermittently. It all depends how smoothly everything goes! We’re hopeful it will go much more quickly, but I want to prepare you if it doesn’t!

I found myself in the same problem a few months back trying to keep up with my frugal blog and my crafts/home school stuff, so I combined too! Totally understand! 🙂

I am not too good at the whole moving my blog thing so I still have somethings missing, but now that it’s all in one place I feel much more organized and I found that I enjoy blogging much more now!
