My guideline for determining a great price on toilet paper is 1¢ per square foot.
Now, don’t let this confuse you! Think of it this way — the package of White Cloud has 415 sq. ft., so I aim not to pay more than $4.15 for it (I got it for $2.98, but even without the coupon, it’s still below my target price)!! I always look at the square feet on the package to determine if I think it’s a good deal or not! Of course, many times you can find the “cheap” (thin, hard) toilet paper around that price — but I look to match a coupon with a sale to get the good stuff around that price!
