Wondering what to do with your leftover candy canes? Grab a mallet and melt some chocolate because we are making art!
With just two ingredients, your kids can easily and inexpensively create their own edible mosaics. A mosaic is a picture or decorative design made with small pieces set in a surface. In our case, we will be setting bits of candy cane into chocolate.
First, crush your candy canes.
Next, melt your chocolate (I prefer Wilton Decorating Bags for the ease). Smooth your chocolate out with the back side of a spoon.
If you would like to get more creative, mix two kinds of chocolate and swirl with a toothpick for a fun base. Then, add your candy cane bits and create your art.
One last step . . . enjoy your work! Yummo.
