It’s our last day of 5 Days of {Just Having} Fun with Your Family, and I’m struggling to wrap it up–because I want to keep it going and not let it end! 🙂
Overall, this series been a good reminder for me to just take a little time to play each and every day. Some of the benefits I’ve seen this week from play together include:
- Increased bonding among family members.
- Less fighting among the girls.
- Less stress & more energy for me.
I can’t recommend it enough!!
Please take some time and play with your family. Whether it’s board games, outdoor games, imaginative play, creative-artsy type play, or whatever it is, just take some time each day to connect!
I’ll leave you with this final thought. While I’m not convinced this is all your child needs to turn out well, I still love this quote. We need to spend time together and play together to keep our family bonds strong. Our kids don’t need more stuff–they need more of us!
Now. Go play!!
Just wanted to say thanks again for the inspiration and motivation of this post. We have had a TOUGH time of transitioning back to homeschool from Christmas break, and playing with my kids more has helped out BIG TIME. We went to the Dollar Tree today and bought supplies for our “creation station” (just a tub of craft supplies) and placed it in the corner of our nook table. We also made an idea list of 25 things to do (board games, coloring, hide and seek, etc.) that will be our go to list when bored or just needing direction. So fun!! 🙂
