With my sister’s wedding coming up in September, I decided I better step up the exercise and eating plan a little bit. I got a little lax over the past few weeks — especially during vacation!
As a bridesmaid, my sister is making me wear a strapless dress. Yikes! I don’t even normally wear a tank top (except at swim meets to get some sun) because I have pretty big arms (with cellulite!) for someone my size. I can’t deny it. It’s true. I measured my arms and my husband’s arms and I cried…
Anyway, I’d rather not have them commemorated in wedding photos, so I better set some goals! 😉
Here are my goals over the next 90 days:
1) Complete a round of P90X2.
2) Lose seven pounds (three pounds during month 1, two pounds during months 2, and two pounds during month 3).
3) Get back on track with the Perfect 10 Diet: 10 Key Hormones That Hold the Secret to Losing Weight and Feeling Great Fast. (Ice cream is my downfall!!)
Do you have any fitness, eating, or other goals you’d like to share? I’d love to cheer you on…and I could use some cheering myself!

We just moved 2 1/2 months ago, and we have stairs everywhere. Stairs 3 different ways to get into our house, two of them 15 stairs each. There are two sets of stairs IN my house–1 of the afore mentioned sets, from the basement into the DR, and one upstairs to the children’s rooms. So I”m CONSTANTLY running stairs. The first few weeks we were here, I lost weight, I’m sure, in part from the stairs. Then it came back. I think because I was fixing more filling meals from scratch, instead of patching meals together as was before.
Two things I know ALWAYS work for me, is exercising however I can and dropping sugar intake. I’m a sweet tea fanatic so that’s my biggest problem. One week of dropping sugar period–desserts, tea, etc., and extra walking a few times, had me losing 5 lbs right off! My exercises right now are the stairs and doing squats while I braid my hair at night. I’m praying I see results soon!

Thanks, Lezlie! I had given up sugar and was having some really good results with that — but I sort of splurged on vacation — not over the top, but a little bit. Now, I just need to get reenergized to start again and keep it up! It always makes me more accountable to post my exercise each week and my progress!
The wedding is on the beach, so I might be able to wear a little sweater. I’m hoping this works though!! 🙂

I can do relate! My sister’s wedding is in two weeks…bridesmaid….strapless…. I’ve been exercise hard and eating healthy for two months and just met my first of many goals this morning, 20 pounds! Now on to the next 20 on my new heathy lifestyle journey. Hang in there! You can do it! Hard work pays off! (using Chose to Lose by Chris Powel from extreme weightloss edition as a guideline …such a great book!)
