You know those weeks when nothing seems to go quite as expected (isn’t that every week?)!! Well, that was how things went this week. Almost all of my goals went unfinished…we traveled to my in-laws, one daughter ended up sick, I forgot a whole bag of stuff at my in-laws (including Insanity and my Crown Bible study)…
Plus, one of the owners at my husband’s job passed away last Friday.
Things just feel out of sorts, but I’m learning to give myself grace. I can’t accomplish everything, and instead of being mad about it (which is how I felt several times this week), I just need to regroup and focus on what I can do.
Last Week’s Goals:
Faith/Ministry:
Complete Crown Financial Study on a daily basis. (Did not happen — and my books are at my in-laws)
Decorate the church for Christmas.
Mothering/Discipleship/School:
Make some simple Thanksgiving crafts. (Did not happen.)
Write in our “Gratitude Journal” every day. (Did not happen.)
Read Ginger Plowman’s [easyazon-link asin=”0972304649″]Don’t Make Me Count to Three[/easyazon-link] (This looks like a really great book for “heart-oriented discipline”) I read a few chapters — still more to go!
Homemaking & Personal:
Get up by 6 AM every morning. (Complete failure!)
Complete Week 3 of Insanity. (The DVDs are at my in-laws)
Read Grace for the Good Girl: Letting Go of the Try-Hard Life. Lots of good stuff in there for me — and I definitely needed to read it this week. I have a tendency to want to “do” things in order to “be” things (for instance, I feel like I need to accomplish my goals to be considered productive).
Blogging:
Finish Christmas craft printable booklet. (Still in process — I need my sister’s help to finish up!)
Set aside time/find help to share deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday!!
New Goals for the Week:
Faith/Ministry:
Complete Crown Financial Study on a daily basis.
Purchase gifts for Angel Tree at church.
Mothering/Discipleship/School:
Work on table manners!!
Make Christmas crafts.
Finish Ginger Plowman’s [easyazon-link asin=”0972304649″]Don’t Make Me Count to Three[/easyazon-link] (This looks like a really great book for “heart-oriented discipline”)
Homemaking & Personal:
Get up by 6 AM every morning.
Run 10 miles.
Date night with John.
Blogging:
Finish Christmas craft printable booklet. (Still in process — I need my sister’s help to finish up!)
Meet with blogging accountability group.
What are some of your goals for this week? I’d love to encourage you!

Yea for fellow floppers! I am sorry about your week, but it sure makes me feel better to know that I’m not the only one:) Hope you are doing well now!!
Ha! It is comforting to know that I have a fellow flopper — and probably lots more of them, too! Grateful for grace!
Hope you are having a wonderful week, too!
