30-Day Challenge: 31 Ways to Pray for Your Children (Printable Calendar)

It’s September!!  I have two 30-Day Challenges I wanted to do this month…and I’d love to have you join me!

The first one is a prayer challenge!  Several years ago, I was given a card entitled 31 Biblical Virtues to Pray for Your Kids.  I had it on my refrigerator for quite a while, but now I can’t find it…

I did a quick online search and located an article on Bob Hostetler’s site called “31 Ways to Pray for Your Children”.  Lo and behold, the card and the article were the same!!  Needless to say, I was hit by inspiration today and had this idea to do a 30-Day Prayer Challenge for the month of September (technically it will be a 31-Day Challenge ending on October 1).

With so many children starting school, this seems like a wonderful time to focus on praying for our kids, so I emailed Mr. Hostetler — and he very graciously gave me permission to share this 31 Ways to Pray for Your Children printable calendar with you!!

I hope you’ll join with me, print out the calendar, and pray for your children in a very focused way this month.  I’ll be posting updates on Facebook throughout September.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you’ll be joining with me!

  9. Stacie,

I love this idea. It’s so easy to try to teach these things to our kids without remembering to simply pray about it. This is a great tool. I love it so much I shared it with my blog readers today at http://www.everydaytruth66.blogspot.com. I’m hoping many of them will come over and print it off. Thanks so much for sharing with us.

    • Thanks, Lori! I’m really excited about focusing on one quality each day — it should help me be more intentional!

Great idea! Making it perpetual would work as well. Where do I get the “card” for my bible? Thanks again.

Thanks for this resource. I’m printing it out and putting it in my Bible. I’m also planning on sharing it with my moms group. They are all women who are in training to go overseas as missionaries. This would be so great for them.

  22. My boys are older (12 & 13) so I have decided to write the bible verses listed and put them on their bathroom mirror daily so they can see what I am praying for. Maybe this will give them something different to reflect on while I am praying for it!
