Life Rewind:
All I can tell you about this week is that I worked on taxes…I worked on taxes…I worked on taxes. It must have fried my brain….because that is absolutely all I can remember. I’m going to keep better records, so I don’t have to do this again next year!
Wait.
I think I said that last year.
😉
Thanks to all of your suggestions, I did buy QuickBooks. Hopefully that will make things much easier (once I watch some tutorials and take a class, anyway)!
Oh! One fun thing that happened this week is that my passport renewal came in the mail. I’m a little sad to have lost all my stamps, but I guess that means I need to add some new ones! I don’t have a trip planned or a destination in mind yet, but we’ll see…

FYI, when I had my passport renewed I thought the same thing, but they actually sent my old passport in the mail later–it was somehow marked so it couldn’t be used again, but you get to keep the stamps!
Tks for this blog– I read it daily and often get free books via kindle, use recipes, etc… so tks so much for doing it.
grace, Marybeth
Yay! Thanks for letting me know! I was so sad to “lose” all my stamps! 🙂
I would like to encourage you to investigate the Fairtax. Self employed people like bloggers will especially appreciate the ease with which the Fairtax collects taxes. You pay them when you make retail level purchases of new (not used) goods. That’s it. Everyone receives a prebate equal to the tax paid on all goods purchased up to the poverty level. Please check it out at http://www.fairtax.org. It has more co-sponsors in Congress then any other tax reform proposal and was written by a group of economists, not by politicians. I truly believe it will revolutionize our economy and that’s why I’m writing about it everywhere I can.
