This post is underwritten by Zondervan. Please be assured that all thoughts and opinions are definitely my own. We had a great time exploring this fun website!
I’m always on the look-out for free (and frugal) ideas to use with the girls to teach them about the Bible. Today, I’m excited to introduce you to a new-to-me site with all kinds of kids Bible games and activities! I’m familiar with The Adventure Bible and have used it in the past, but I did not know about their awesome website! It’s the perfect place for elementary-age kids to learn about their Bible, play Bible games, and print various Bible activities and maps.
Please join me for my “short” tour of the site. I think you’ll find there is much more to explore, but I wanted to share the main parts (and my favorites)!
Bible Activities, Games, and More at the Adventure Bible Website
When you first head over to the website, you will see several different options. First, you can do a Bible search. It’s pretty straight-forward: just search for a word or phrase you want to learn more about and all of the references will show up! This is an excellent resource to help your child really dig in and study their Bible.
In the middle of the map on the homepage, you can find the Bible “Games” section of the website next:
Here you’ll find five different Bible games for kids. The girls enjoyed playing these games aimed at elementary-aged students.
One of my daughters especially liked the Leapin’ Lemur game and filling in the blanks for the Bible verses.
Truth Quest is a Bible trivia game while Books of the Bible teaches you the order of the books in God’s Word. X Marks the Spot is excellent for helping you find out where events happened in the Bible, and Leopardy is a fun version of Bible Jeopardy!
Another way to utilize this game section is to register as an educator (homeschoolers are included)! I made a “class” with my girls, and they can earn points by completing various games and activities. You’ll also have access to over 700 kids Bible teaching resources!
Last, but not least, is one of my favorite sections! When you click on the “Bible Activities” link, you’ll find all kinds of printable Bible worksheets for kids. Once you sign up, you can access even more.
I know many of us are looking for free printable resources, so this is a great help!
The Bible Activities include:
- Bible Timeline (I love these!)
- Bible Crossword Puzzles
- Bible Study for Kids Word Searches
- Matching Games
- Bible Map Printables (Jesus’ Ministry, Paul’s Journeys, Holy Land, Roman Empire, and many more)
- Bible Devotional Printables
- Bible Fill-in-the-Blank worksheets
- (I downloaded one for Easter!)
- Bible Reading Plans for Kids
- Free Printable Inserts for Bulletins
- and many more.
You can also grab the free Adventure Bible Game App for Kids over on iTunes.
Whether you are a parent and/or an educator, the Adventure Bible website has so many excellent resources available. I would highly recommend taking time to explore and utilize this amazing (and free) website with Bible activities, games, and printables for kids!
