We usually keep our plastic eggs and reuse them each year, but I noticed we had somehow accumulated a few more than we really need! There are all kinds of ways to reuse Easter eggs, but I thought this would be a simple idea.
Alphabet Matching Busy Bag
Supplies:
- Permanent Markers
- Plastic eggs
- Plastic bag or other container
1) Write a lower-case letter on one half of the egg. Write the corresponding upper-case letter on the other half of the egg.
2) Break the eggs apart and let your child match the letters
*You could put the corresponding letters on different colors to make it more challenging.
Store in a plastic bag or other container. Find more busy bag ideas here.

Other ways to use plastic eggs:
- Color Sort
- Baby and Toddler Shape Sorter
- Easter Egg Sound Match
- Alphabet Practice (similar to the above idea)

hi, this is a really cool idea, I also thought it would be fun to have objects that would fit inside them with the same beginning sound as the letter on the outside…. just a thought =) Such creative ideas on this site. Thanks

Thanks, Mindie!
I was just keeping it simple for my sanity’s sake, but that would be a great idea! 🙂 We did a hide-and-seek for alphabet letters that you could incorporate too!

I love your post on busy bags, I have made a bunch for my own kids and they are addicted! I did a roundup of bags we have made on my blog and linked to your tutorial, you can check it out here: http://babesindeutschland.com/ Thanks for the inspiration!
