Looking for a simple and fun after-school snack for kids? Today, we’re skipping the granola bars and fruit snack pouches! We’ll engage creativity and craftiness as we make Banana People. Your kids will love designing their own little man and you’ll love the healthy options this snack can deliver.
Ready, mom? It is as simple as gathering a few decorating options . . . (a.k.a raiding the pantry). I had chocolate morsels, mini-marshmallows, grapes, walnuts, coconuts, pretzel sticks and the true hit, candy eyeballs which were left over from a party.
I gave the kids cheese spreaders so that they could more easily spread the peanut butter onto the banana. The kids loved it (and truthfully, so did I)!
Decorate as much as you like. And of course, the last step…Eat ’em!
What kind of snacks do you like to serve?
