I found this great idea in the last issue of Family Fun, and we wanted to give it a try! The girls loved how it turned out, so we’re going to leave this as *decoration* for my oldest daughter’s birthday party next week!
Stained-Glass Window Craft
- Plastic wrap
- Painter’s tape
- Tissue paper
1) Cover a window with plastic wrap. Use painter’s tape to secure the sides.
2) Tear pieces of tissue paper and glue to the plastic wrap. Cover the entire surface.
Now if you purchase everything at retail price for this project, it might be a little more costly, but here’s how I made it “Fun on a Dime”:
We used old tissue paper from gifts, and the glue sticks were 25¢ for a 2-pack I picked up during a back-to-school sale (because it does take quite a bit of glue)! The plastic wrap was from a dollar store and the painter’s tape was left-over from last summer’s painting projects!
