Monthly contributor post from Kristen at Celebrate Every Day with Me:
I love folding napkins into fun designs. Usually, it is for pretty tables and entertaining purposes. But today, we are folding napkins into babies, ready for your sweet kiddos to play with.
All you need for today’s project is an old linen napkin and a couple Sharpies. This napkin only cost me a quarter (click here to see how I save money on linens). My mom’s grandmother used to make these babies with tissues. So give that a try if you don’t have any napkins you are ready to destroy … err, let your kids use permanent markers on.
How to Make Napkin Babies:
Instructions: Fold your napkin nearly in half, as shown above. Roll the napkin in from the sides. Then as you would grab and turn a sock inside out, hold the bottom rolls (the babies) and turn the two corner ends over the babies, creating the blanket. Draw faces. Add outfits if your kids want. And don’t forget to rock the babies. Simply hold both corners of the napkin.
I am not sure what my daughter loved more: getting to use permanent markers on fabric or playing with her napkin babies!
Would your kids enjoy making napkin babies with you?
