Many people have asked me how I “do it all” — but the truth is, I don’t. I’m learning to prioritize and cut out the non-essentials during this season of my life! I do have a few tricks and tips for getting more done in a shorter amount of time though. One of the items that has helped me stay organized and that I truly love is this awesome planner from Motivated Moms!!
Managing a house and doing chores are not my favorite things, but if I keep up with the daily checklist from Motivated Moms, things run much more smoothly. I love how the household chores are broken into manageable chunks–it’s split up enough that it isn’t overwhelming. The planner also includes all kinds of things I don’t normally think about (like checking my credit report, cleaning the microwave…I just try to avoid it, and taking time to work on photo albums, scrapbooks, etc.)!
Obviously, no home management system is going to work if you don’t implement it and use it, but the Motivated Moms planner is one of the easiest I’ve found and it is working well for us. I do some of the chores in the morning. Then, I assign various chores to the girls, and we finish them up during our after-lunch chore time.
There are several options available for the printable version of the planner. You can get full-size, half-size, one day per page, one week per page, etc. You can choose whether to have a Daily Bible Reading, too.
