Welcome to Day 2 of 101 Days of Summer Fun For Kids. Today’s activity is not only simple and cost-effective — it’s also a lot of fun!
Paint with Water
Supplies:
- Paintbrushes
- Cup of water
1) Give your child a paintbrush and cup (or can) of water outside. He can “paint” the sidewalk, his toys, etc!
Two variations:
- Call out numbers or letters and have your child paint them.
- “Paint” spelling words
We used sponge brushes, because I had them on hand. They didn’t last long, so I would suggest an old paintbrush. I was surprised at how long the girls spent “painting” with water outside.
Hi there
I’m writing to request permission to use your image above (painting with water) for the Adelaide Mummy Meetings website which I am a guest adviser and am putting together a general article about activities for toddlers. I usually take all of my own photos – but it’s winter in Adelaide at the moment, and I really need am image like yours!
Your image will be credited (I won’t crop out the watermark), and I’d be happy to send you the link when the article is up.
Thanks in advance,
Lauren
