I am so excited to be teaming up with 18 other bloggers to take part in the Get Healthy & Fit Series hosted by Sidetracked Sarah.
If you’ve followed very long on my blog, you know I’m always on a quest to improve my health, focus on fitness, and keep my weight down with my 30-Day Challenges. In July, I posted this post about my adventure with P90X2 and wanting to lose weight for my sister’s wedding.
Suffice to say, things spiraled out-of-control rather quickly after beginning P90X2. I really think I probably just overdid it and overtrained a little bit. I started having all kinds of cravings and gaining back the weight I had worked so hard to lose. So, when I saw Sidetracked Sarah was hosting 12 weeks of getting fit and healthy, I knew I needed to jump back in.
1) Lose 10 pounds.
Yes. I’m back to this. It’s so frustrating, but the accountability of all these other bloggers and you will be so helpful in this journey.
2) Work-out 4-5 times per week.
I have about five more weeks of P90X2. Then, I’ll scale back a little and do some jogging and weight lifting (with Jillian Michaels’ videos).
3) Follow the diet plan in The Perfect 10 Diet: 10 Key Hormones That Hold the Secret to Losing Weight and Feeling Great Fast.
You know that I’ve struggled with hormonal issues in the past (hello, postpartum depression!). Today, I met with an amazing doctor who is putting me through some more testing and gathering information to see if we can get to the bottom of my allergies, asthma, crazy hormones, and sleep issues.
In the meantime, I’ll be following the diet in the book. I may also cut-out gluten and dairy per my doctor’s recommendations to see what happens with that. For me, the weight-loss is secondary at this point. I just really want to feel well and sleep well!
