Letter Match Scavenger Hunt

We did a quick letter hunt for a review today!  I just wrote the capital and lowercase letters on index cards and cut them apart.  You could use this same idea as a review for numbers and number words, colors and color words, etc.

Letter Match Scavenger Hunt

Supplies:

  • Capital letters and corresponding lowercase letters (flashcards, hand-written, stickers, etc.)

1)  Pick several letters your child has worked on already and knows pretty well.  Hide the lowercase letters around the house.

2)  Have your child go on a letter hunt!  Once they’ve found a letter, have them match it to the corresponding capital letter.

I like this review game because it’s active!  We did a similar letter hunt with plastic eggs, too!

  1. And it’s easy to replace a piece in case it comes up missing!
