Life Rewind:
We just completed our busiest week of the summer, and I’m looking forward to a break! I had several highlights this week including three t-ball games, watching my five-year-old swim her first 50m race, and having my best friend and her family stay with us a few nights.
I did want to share with you one other happening this week. On Sunday and then again on Thursday, I had the opportunity to meet and get to know an amazing woman named Christine. Christine is the founder of the orphanage where proceeds from God’s Little Explorers are going, and I have to tell you that I really felt like I already knew her–just from our email exchanges. Turns out, I was right. We clicked so well, and I feel like I’ve known her my whole life! Her story amazes me, and I’m grateful that our lives have intersected.
Some really awesome news is that because of all of you (so many thanks go out to so many people), I was able to write a $5000 check to go towards constructions costs of the new orphanage!! They have a total of $43,500 towards the building project, and they need $150,000 to begin by Sept. 1. If you feel moved to do so, please pray! It’s a big amount, but we serve a big God–and He is faithful!
