Do you want to build a snowman? No need to don the scarves, hats, mittens and boots (or music from Frozen) to create this snowman! Grab the kids and build this little guy from the comfort of your kitchen.
What You’ll Need:
- Rice Krispies, 6 cups
- Marshmallows, 1 bag
- Butter, 3 Tbs plus extra for greasing hands
- Mini-Reeces Cups
- Chocolate Morsels
- Frosting
- Candy for Snowman features (we used M&M’s, Mike & Ikes, Twizzler Pull & Peel, Pretzel Sticks, Fruit by the Foot)
- Wax Paper
- Toothpicks
- Bag for Melting Chocolate
Start by creating the snowman hats by melting chocolate and piping into circles on wax paper. Place a mini Reeces cup as the top of the hat. Allow to cool completely.
Next, follow this Original Rice Krispies recipe. I doubled the recipe to make a great many snowmen, not to mention allowing extra for snacking as you create.
It is tempting to start rolling balls as soon as your Rice Krispies are ready, but your mixture will be far to gooey. I spooned clumps on to wax paper and allowed to cool more before forming into balls. Grease all hands with butter before forming your first ball.
Then with a toothpick, secure three Rice Krispies balls to form the snowman’s body.
Let your Snowman sit a bit and then have fun frosting, decorating . . . and eating!
