I love making special cakes for my daughters’ birthdays, but I needed something simple this year.  I found these cute rainbow cupcakes over at Spoonful and just adapted them a bit!

Rainbow Cupcakes

Supplies:

• Cake mix
• Frosting
• Rainbow-type taffy (ours were sour!)
• Marshmallows
• Kitchen scissors

1)  Make the cupcakes and frost them.  If I did this again, I would remember to add some blue coloring to the frosting to make a “sky”.

2)  Cut the taffy into 2-3 inch pieces.  Arc in the shape of a rainbow on the cupcake.

3)  Add marshmallows for clouds!

See?!!  These rainbow cupcakes are super-easy!  🙂
